Digital Transformation – what to do with all that paper?

Digital technology is here to stay at Jeppesen.  The transition away from paper charts is evidenced by the reduction in the number of printed sheets over the past several years.  For 2013, we printed approximately 650 million sheets, down from the previous mark of 850 million, which was down from a high of one billion sheets per year. Paper to Digital is real.

But now what to do with the pallets of speciality paper stored in our warehouse? Recycling the paper was an option, but why not donate the paper to several non-profit groups that could put it to good use.

After much research and figuring out how to deliver pallets of paper to organizations without loading docks, we were able to provide several local non-profit arts associations with good quality paper. A win for everyone.
