Jeppesen inspires dreaming big

A team of volunteers from Jeppesen has partnered with Craig Hospital to offer their patients discovery flights. The program is called CraigFlight Mission and is similar to the Experimental Aircraft Association’s (EAA) Young Eagles program. Patients are given a 45 minute flight around the Denver area using Jeppesen Employee Flying Association’s (JEFA) airplanes and pilots. The program is in its second year and events are held quarterly.

With over 28,000 patients from all 50 states and several foreign countries—from all demographics and all phases of life, Craig Hospital in Denver is known as a world-class hospital for spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries. In conjunction with Craig’s Adventure Program this is a unique opportunity for patients and alumni to experience the freedom of flight. Even the participant’s who are a little nervous about the flight come back with a big smile on their face.

The CraigFlight Mission is: “At Jeppesen there are no limits to the horizons and depths of our passion...for flying...for sailing...for enabling safe and efficient transportation all around the world. CraigFlight Missions are a way for us to share our passion for flight with patients and alumni of Craig Hospital of Denver, as they continue to soar with no their drive...their ambitions...and their accomplishments.”
