Jeppesen employees lend a hand to a local senior citizen

In conjunction with Boeing’s Global Month of Service, Jeppesen employees scraped, caulked and painted the home of a local area senior citizen recently. Despite the high temperatures, the team worked hard to give the home an updated and fresh new look.

This volunteer event was organized through Brothers Development. This local nonprofit housing organization provides safe, affordable, accessible housing and housing-related services for Colorado’s low-income, elderly and disabled residents. There is no shortage of painting projects, as more than 200 seniors applied to have their homes painted. This is the second year Jeppesen volunteers have participated in a Paint-a-Thon project.

Jeppesen volunteers have participated in Boeing’s Global Month of Service for the past three years.  Global Month of Service is an opportunity for employees around the globe to participate in volunteer projects as One Boeing.  Last year, thousands of volunteers took part in 96 projects across 14 countries around the world. The core mission of global service is to reinforce the value and importance of year-round community service.
