Jeppesen employees have fun for a cause

Jeppesen employees really get into March Madness. The brackets, the competition and the chance to clean out their closets – for a great cause.

For the second year, employees were asked to donate their gently-worn sneakers to Souls4Soles, a national non-profit that takes all types and conditions of footwear and recycles them.

It is said that the journey of a lifetime begins with a single step.  No one would want to make that journey without shoes. Soles4Souls collects gently worn shoes in the US, than distributes them around the world in 127 different countries, with approximately 55% staying in the US.

All types of shoes are appreciated . . . everything from tennis shoes to stilettos, hiking boots to house slippers, children’s shoes to men’s dress shoes . . . and anything in between. Every kind of shoe can be of use to someone.  Soles4Souls will even try to match-up or recycle shoes that no longer have a mate.

Jeppesen employees generously donated a total of 555 shoes during the March Madness celebrations in 2014 and 2015. That’s 555 people that will have their feet protected all over the globe.
