Jeppesen Montreal employees serve their neighborhood
On May 15, seven members of Jeppesen’s Montreal team cooked up a storm at a local not-for-profit restaurant Robin des Bois (Robin Hood). One employee worked hard skinning ducks for the scrumptious Duck Confit Salad. Others worked the floor greeting customers, taking their orders and serving them. Customers were impressed with their good humour and service, many believing this was their day job. All profits from that evening were distributed among four different local organizations: Le Chaînon, Le Refuge des Jeunes, Jeunesse Soleil and Santropol Roulant. Overall it was a great experience for all those who volunteered; they were very enthused by the idea of repeating this experience in the future.
Robin de Bois is a not-for-profit restaurant, staffed by volunteers and employees. All profits made by the restaurant, as well as through the sale of merchandise, are redistributed to local charities who work with the community to ward off solitude, social isolation and poverty.
