ZGSZ / Shenzhen – The FBO facility is expected to move to the new Business Aviation Terminal in June where CIQ may be cleared. The current VIP lounge will no longer be used.
ZSAM / Xiamen – Airport will be closed 1610-2210Z, 01 March – 30 June 2017 for runway maintenance.
BA/GA flights are not allowed take-offs or landings 2300-0100Z.
ZSSS / Shanghai Hongqiao – No BA/GA flights allowed 0001-0559L due to the curfew, and no BA/GA flights allowed 0700-2159L daily due to flight congestion. Applications will only be considered for 0600-0659L and 2200-2400L.
ZSYN / Yancheng – Airport is open to foreign registered aircraft. Permits can be processed through normal channel. Airport ops hours: 0800-2100L.
MGGT / Guatemala - Runway 02/20 closed Monday - Saturday from 0500 - 1100Z daily except on Sunday per NOTAM.
Airport limited for General Aviation CAT A and CAT B fixed wing aircraft onlyon Monday through Friday from 1101– 1300Z until 30 June, 2017 per NOTAM.
NORTH AMERICA and CARIBBEAN
New requirement for business travelers to enter Canada, which does exempt US citizens.

Crew entry requirement now in effect:
Visa-exempt foreign nationals are expected to have an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to fly to or transit through Canada. Exceptions include U.S. citizens, and travelers with a valid Canadian visa. Canadian citizens, including dual citizens, and Canadian permanent residents cannot apply for an eTA.
Grand Prix du Canada 2017 will take place on 09 - 11 June 2017 at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in Montreal, Canada. Airports in the area are CYUL, CYMX and CYHU and one should consult with the local handlers if operating during this time frame to ensure services.
Aircraft operators are reminded to always have the proper multiple entry authorization or applying permits along with the mandatory updated aircraft documents on board the plane for the Mexican Authorities are randomly checking such documents at different airports.
The Mexican DGAC has prohibited individuals from carrying the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Phones on board of any aircraft due to the risk of explosions without any advance notice.
MMTO / Toluca - Runway 15/33 closed on 10, 11 and 12 June 2017 from 0430 – 0930Z daily per NOTAM.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced a ban on carrying most electronic equipment in carry-on luggage on direct U.S. bound commercial airline flights from the following 10 airports - Amman, Jordan (OJAI/AMM); Kuwait City, Kuwait (OKBK/KWI); Cairo, Egypt (HECA/CAI); Istanbul, Turkey (LTBA/IST); Jeddah (OEJN/JED) and Riyadh (OERK/RUH), Saudi Arabia; Casablanca, Morocco (GMMN/CMN); Doha, Qatar (OTHH/DOH); and Dubai (OMDB/DXB) and Abu Dhabi (OMAA/AUH), UAE. The ban applies to electronic devices other than cellular phones and medical equipment; devices such as laptops and iPads must be stored in checked luggage. The ban reportedly went into effect on 21 March and U.S. authorities stated that they imposed the ban due to intelligence regarding threats of terrorist attacks on aircraft. This currently does not affect General Aviation flights. More information can be found at:

TXKF / Bermuda - PPR required for ALL military aircraft except for essential military missions through 27 June 2017. This due to limited apron parking per NOTAM.
Airport has restricted night time aircraft refueling on Apron 4 (Handler location) through 31 August, 2017 at 2359Z (except for Search and Rescue and MEDEVAC flights) per NOTAM.
PPR for ALL private and General Aviation aircraft arriving through June 30. PPR must be obtained 24 hours in advance and approved PPR number must be listed in the remarks section of the filed flight plan. This is due to limited apron parking per NOTAM.
The 35th America’s Cup yacht race event location will be Hamilton, Bermuda and will run through 27 June 2017. The airport in the area is TXKF and consult with the local handler for aircraft activity will increase during this time period.

LSZH / Zurich - New Slot Filing Requirement - Effective 30 March 2017
Slots obtained through handler or through OCS system must now be filed in line 18 of flight plan. A slot ID will be issued by the handler in ASL format. Slot must be filed as RMK/ASLLSZHXXXX12345.
LEVC / Valencia - Effective immediately a new mandatory requirement has been introduced for inbound flights. Line 18 of the flight plan MUST contain the name of the nominated ground handling agent.
LEPA / Palma De Mallorca - Currently no Code F aircraft operations permitted at LEPA.
(Code F is: Wingspan 65 m but < 80 m / Outer main gear wheel span 14 m but < 16 m)
This essentially prohibits B747 and A380 operations into LEPA.
No NOTAM exists, information now in AIP. This restriction is expected to last until AT LEAST end of June 2017 but will likely extend.
LFPB / Paris Airshow 2017 – 19 - 25 June 2017
The 2017 Paris airshow will be held at Paris Le Bourget airport 19-25 June. Both individual pilot and separate aircraft accreditation is required for all flights into LFPB during those dates (depending on our movement time). Below is a table (supplied courtesy of Signature Flight Support) showing the airport closure times, the accreditation windows and times when accreditation is not required. Accreditation application window is between 18 April - 12 June. After 12 June, no guarantee is made that accreditation will be accepted. Ground handlers can apply for accreditation on your behalf (be aware there will be a charge for this assistance).
As with all major events, please plan as far ahead as possible. Local transport, hotel accommodation and catering will all be at a premium during the airshow dates.
LFSB / Basle-Mulhouse 15-18 June 2017, LFSB will be hosting the Basel Art Fair. During this time the airport will be heavily congested. If services are required please give your handler as much notice as possible, as there will be limited capacity.
Epsom, Derby - Horse Racing Festival 02 - 03 June
Royal Ascot – Horse Racing Festival – 20-24 June
Although not aviation events, Royal Ascot and the Epsom Derby attract significant business aviation traffic in many airports around London. Epsom Racecourse is best served form EGKB and EGLF whilst Ascot is most accessible from EGLF, Farnborough (with the exception of EGLL) however; other locations (EGKB, EGGW, EGSS and even EGNX) may also see an increase in traffic. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and entourage attend the festivals each day and as such, a vast police presence and restricted flying zone will be in place.
The Holy Month of Ramadan – Ramadan has now begun and is governed by the lunar calendar. Observed in all Islamic states, it is expected to end approximately 25 June 2017.
UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
OMDW/Dubai South and OMBD / Dubai International – Introduction of a Security Fee policy
Effective 01 June 2017, security fee will apply to all General Aviation flights departing from Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central (DWC). This fee is per flight, not per passenger and is approximately AED 300 per round movement.
